INTRODUCING George Yule, Managing Partner

With over three decades of oilfield experience, including start-ups, MBOs, acquisitions and internalisation projects, George Yule is a well-respected influencer who has led the way in business in the north-east of Scotland. He is a qualified mechanical engineer, with extensive practical experience of the global oil and gas sector, as well as being a recognised advisor in business research, diligence and the management of change in organisations.

More recently, as former Executive Vice Chairman of Aberdeen Football Club, George played a pivotal role in the turnaround in the club’s fortunes and its re-connection with supporters at all levels, culminating in the club gaining planning consent for their new training ground and stadium.

As well as his illustrious business career, George has held several strategic roles including being the former President of Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of Aberdeen Sports Village and the 2009 Grampian Industrialist of the Year. George is also part of the Scottish Government’s GlobalScot network, having been invited into the organisation in 2015.

In recognition of his services to business and sport in the north-east of Scotland, he received an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Aberdeen in 2016.
